History of Bungalow

Scroll down to content

Bungalow was born when Delaney Lynch, the store’s owner and proprietor, retired after 40 years of working in marketing with some of the biggest home & shelter brands in the business. Her ability to track trends and styles that are “having a moment” is why you’ll be surprised and delighted every time you come in store.

She’s had a lifelong passion for well-designed vintage and retro decor and so has collected pieces from the many places she’s lived—Japan, Asia, California, Arizona, New York and traveled to—Turkey, Britain, Ireland, Italy, France plus every state in the US (except Idaho and Maine—but they’re on her bucket list!)

Beyond the store, Delaney can also come to your home with her DesignStorming™ services—you pick the project and she provides a lookbook, personal consultation in your home and a selection of items from Bungalow you can play with to really customize your space (and buy on the spot!)

She is also an artist who works in crayons, watercolor and ink — focusing on botanicals—to create truly original art which is very affordable. You’ll find her work for sale every year at Artfest Midwest, Ted Lare Art in the Garden, the DSM Botanical Center and at a variety of other art shows plus, of course,  in Bungalow! Check out some of her newest items @DelaneyLynchArt on Facebook.
